About this piece
Danish woodworker Nikolaj Klitgaard shaped the very first Bubo by hand in his grandfather’s workshop in 2013. His passion for woodworking and an eye for details resulted in the creation of the sweet owl family named Bubo.
Handmade from oak, Bubo comes in two sizes, and both have a round mobile head and detachable magnetic arms. This allows Bubo to show a vast range of emotions. From hopeful, and excited, to wondering, enjoy Bubo’s various expressions.

- Maintenance Oil-finished wood should be re-oiled every 6–12 months using a food-safe wood oil. Avoid prolonged sun exposure — UV light fades natural stains and dries out the wood. Wipe spills immediately and never leave wet items on the surface.
- Cleaning Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or bleach-based products, which damage the finish and void the warranty.
Poor or improper maintenance — including failure to re-oil, use of harsh chemicals, or prolonged moisture exposure — disqualifies the item from warranty coverage and return eligibility. Please follow the above guidelines to preserve your piece.
