Bolia's Display Shelf system, designed by Anne Norbjerg Madsen, is built around asymmetry as a design principle, the idea that a shelf arrangement concentrating its visual weight deliberately creates more compositional interest than an evenly balanced grid. The Asymmetric Right configuration mirrors the Left, with shelf mass concentrated toward the right side of the unit.
At 92.13" wide, this is a genuine wall-defining piece in FSC-certified wood with a clean natural finish. The combination of open compartments and framed sections creates depth in the arrangement, it rewards styling with a mix of tall objects, books laid horizontally, and occasional negative space rather than packing every available surface.
The Right configuration pairs naturally with the Asymmetric Left version for a very long wall. Used alone, the right-weighted balance creates a subtle tension that keeps the eye moving across the wall.
For living rooms and dining spaces where the shelving is intended to anchor the room's primary wall.

- Maintenance Oil-finished wood should be re-oiled every 6–12 months using a food-safe wood oil. Avoid prolonged sun exposure — UV light fades natural stains and dries out the wood. Wipe spills immediately and never leave wet items on the surface.
- Cleaning Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or bleach-based products, which damage the finish and void the warranty.
Poor or improper maintenance — including failure to re-oil, use of harsh chemicals, or prolonged moisture exposure — disqualifies the item from warranty coverage and return eligibility. Please follow the above guidelines to preserve your piece.
