Yamagiwa is a Tokyo-based lighting manufacturer with a long history of producing high-fidelity reproductions of mid-century Scandinavian designs for international markets. The Jakobsson Lamp is a faithful reproduction of Hans-Agne Jakobsson's iconic pine pendant, originally designed in the 1950s at the Swedish designer's studio in Markaryd. Jakobsson's lamp is built from thin strips of natural pine arranged in a circular diffuser formation that filters the bulb's light into a warm, radiating glow, a lamp that looks architectural from the side and luminous from below. At Phi400mm (approximately 15.75" diameter) and 53.15" tall, Yamagiwa's version is a full-scale reproduction that makes no compromises.

The natural pine reads as warm and organic in a space, making the Jakobsson an effective counter to interiors that lean industrial or minimal. It generates a wide, ambient glow that fills a room with light that feels deliberately domestic rather than overhead.
