About this piece
Jacques Garcia is the French decorator behind some of Paris’s most seductive interiors, the Hôtel Costes among them, and this sconce brings that same moody, after-dark glamour to the wall.
A rectangular antique bronze frame holds a clear glass front, and behind it sits a hand-hammered back panel that breaks the light into hundreds of small facets. Switched on, the whole surface glows with a warm, flickering shimmer that feels closer to candlelight than lamplight. A single candle-style socket rests on a small bronze bobeche at the centre, and squared strap details with block clasps at the top and bottom give the piece a tailored, almost architectural finish.

- Maintenance Oil-finished wood should be re-oiled every 6–12 months using a food-safe wood oil. Avoid prolonged sun exposure — UV light fades natural stains and dries out the wood. Wipe spills immediately and never leave wet items on the surface.
- Cleaning Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or bleach-based products, which damage the finish and void the warranty.
Poor or improper maintenance — including failure to re-oil, use of harsh chemicals, or prolonged moisture exposure — disqualifies the item from warranty coverage and return eligibility. Please follow the above guidelines to preserve your piece.
