About this piece
Abigail Ahern's objects are designed to look as though they've been around for a long time, the result of a creative philosophy that values texture, material honesty, and the visual warmth of things that show their making. The Bella Vase is a tall, slender cement vessel that brings that ethos to a vase format: its surface carries the natural variation and slight roughness of cast cement without smoothing it into something too refined.
At H13.7" x Dia 5.9", the Bella is proportioned for height rather than volume, it's the kind of vase that works with long single stems, pampas grass, or dried botanicals where the proportion of the vessel to the arrangement is part of the visual. The cement finish gives it a matte, industrial character that sits particularly well against warm wall tones and natural wood surfaces.
The slim silhouette means it can be grouped with other vessels, including Ahern's rounder Aldan or squat Totana, without crowding a shelf or console. Cement is a natural insulator, which means it also works as a standalone decorative object without any stem at all.
For interiors built around material contrast: cement against oak, linen against raw plaster.

- Maintenance Oil-finished wood should be re-oiled every 6–12 months using a food-safe wood oil. Avoid prolonged sun exposure — UV light fades natural stains and dries out the wood. Wipe spills immediately and never leave wet items on the surface.
- Cleaning Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or bleach-based products, which damage the finish and void the warranty.
Poor or improper maintenance — including failure to re-oil, use of harsh chemicals, or prolonged moisture exposure — disqualifies the item from warranty coverage and return eligibility. Please follow the above guidelines to preserve your piece.
