About this piece
Abigail Ahern's Signature Collection takes her standard design approach and concentrates it, pieces in this line are built around more deliberate material and surface stories. The Tarla Vase is a cement vessel with a rustic, stoneware-like texture that mimics artisanal ceramics closely enough to raise the question of what it actually is.
At H7.28" x Dia 7.48", the Tarla is nearly as wide as it is tall, a rounded, slightly squat form that sits with a grounded, earthy quality on any surface. The rustic texture is the central feature: the finish carries visible irregularity across the cement body, the kind of surface that looks as though it was formed by hand and fired at low heat.
The Tarla works beautifully with dried botanicals, the rough surface and warm grey-brown tone make it a natural complement to dried lavender, wheat, or eucalyptus. It also functions well empty, particularly in a cluster of cement and ceramic objects from the same family.
For interiors drawn to the tactile and the handmade, where objects earn their place through material quality rather than visual novelty.

- Maintenance Oil-finished wood should be re-oiled every 6–12 months using a food-safe wood oil. Avoid prolonged sun exposure — UV light fades natural stains and dries out the wood. Wipe spills immediately and never leave wet items on the surface.
- Cleaning Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or bleach-based products, which damage the finish and void the warranty.
Poor or improper maintenance — including failure to re-oil, use of harsh chemicals, or prolonged moisture exposure — disqualifies the item from warranty coverage and return eligibility. Please follow the above guidelines to preserve your piece.
