Texture Blue Vase

Cylinder Studio works almost entirely in neutral or earth-toned ceramic surfaces, which makes the Texture Blue Vase a notable departure and one of the studio's most distinctive pieces. The deep blue textured glaze is applied over a hand-built ceramic body in a way that produces a surface somewhere between raw stone and rough sea glass: visually rich, dimensional, and deeply coloured in a way that flat glazes never achieve.

At 7.5", the Texture Blue Vase is a proper display piece, the colour and surface are strong enough that the vase holds a surface on its own without anything in it. The textured exterior catches light in a way that gives the blue shifting qualities across the day, reading cooler in morning light and deeper, more navy-adjacent in late afternoon.

The form follows the studio's standard proportions: a slightly irregular hand-built body with a functional opening sized for single stems or small bouquets. Against pale walls, white surfaces, or bleached wood, the blue becomes a genuine accent, the piece that anchors a display arrangement and gives it a colour story without over-committing.
