A true icon of modernist design, the Breuer Cesca Classic Armchair embodies the revolutionary spirit of Bauhaus innovation. Originally designed in 1928 by Hungarian-born architect and designer Marcel Breuer, the Cesca chair was named after his daughter Francesca and became one of the most beloved and widely produced chairs of the 20th century. This particular version dates from the 1970s—a golden era for Breuer reissues—and features the classic cantilevered brass tubular frame, integrated armrests, natural cane seat and backrest, and a solid beechwood frame.
The combination of industrial materials with warm, handcrafted details makes the Cesca chair a landmark of mid-century modern design. Still celebrated for its comfort, visual lightness, and sculptural presence, this 1970s edition adds authenticity and vintage charm to dining rooms, offices, or lounge spaces.
