The Sophia Sofa by Grete Jalk - Model 118

Detached three-person. The sofa is made of solid teak wood, with loose cushions upholstered in light wool. Made by France and Daverkosen with a plaque from here, model 118.

Grete Juel Jalk (18 June 1920 – 14 January 2006) was a Danish furniture designer. From the 1960s, she did much to enhance Denmark's reputation for modern furniture design with her clear, comfortable lines. She also edited the Danish magazine Mobilia and compiled a four-volume work on Danish furniture.
